To All Tibet & Crimea Sympathizers: “FREE HAWAII” FIRST!!

Her Majesty Queen Lili‘uokalani of the independent Kingdom of Hawaii

On January 16, 1893, United States troops invaded an independent sovereign nation – once again without provocation – that was the Kingdom of Hawaii. This led to the conditional surrender of the Hawaiian Kingdom’s monarch, Her Majesty Queen Lili‘uokalani.

Queen Lili‘uokalani was the recognised ruler of the Hawaiian nation and had been officially received as such on state visits to both the United States and United Kingdom.

“To avoid any collision of armed forces and perhaps the loss of life, I do, under this protest, and impelled by force, yield my authority over Hawaii until such time as the Government of the United States shall, undo the action of its representatives and reinstate me in the authority ….as the constitutional sovereign of the Hawaiian Islands.”

The signing of her writ of abdication was bought about by American extortion. By abdicating, six of her most ardent supporters would be released from the prison where they awaited execution for treason, which of course, was a nonsense charge created in order to pressure the Queen to step down. The six local men had rallied a small army to defend her legal position as the ruler of Hawaii, but after a few unsuccessful skirmishes, they were easily defeated and had stood down.

“For myself, I would have chosen death rather than sign the abdication,” the Queen wrote in her autobiography. “Think of my position…the stream of blood ready to flow unless it was stopped by my signature.”

Red SPOTS are US Posessions in the Pacific Ocean

The island nation of Hawaii is over 2500 miles (4000km) from the American mainland but it is hardly alone in being a realm captured by the United States far from its borders as the above map shows.

With her forced abdication on January 24, 1895, generations of a Hawaiian monarchy came to an end. The islands Queen Liliʻuokalani once ruled would soon be formally stolen by the United States at the behest of white foreign businessmen and settlers who had come to see Hawaii as a cash cow.

US President Grover Cleveland admitted that the American military action against the independent nation of Hawaii was an act of war. This is one of the reasons why today’s US Presidents no longer talk of “international law”, but of a “rules based order”. The United States has ignored and broken international law so many times over the centuries, it is no longer in their interest to talk about it without inviting mock and censure.

International Law is made “internationally”, meaning by many and all nations acting together. This is not good for any one powerful nation which happens to be greedy and desires to dominate the world as in international law, every nation only gets one vote, not a great outcome for the greedy and powerful.

So in recent times a new phrase has been created – “the rules based order.” What this actually means is that the USA makes the rules and the USA gives the orders. International law takes a back seat.

So anyway, who were these settlers and “representatives” of the United States government who stole the nation of Hawaii at gunpoint from the native Hawaian people?

They included the “Committee of Safety,” which was a secret group organized by white sugar plantation owners, businessmen, and descendants of missionaries, which set up a provisional government to replace the Hawaiian monarchy. Defying U.S. President Grover Cleveland, their ultimate goal always was to overthrow Queen Lili‘uokalani and take the Hawaiian Islands by force then to incorporate them into the United States.

Another prominent American businessman was Sanford Dole and it was he who led the actual coup against the Queen of Hawaii, with the help of the elements of the American government. His cousin, James Dole, came to Hawaii from Massachusetts, USA and started The Hawaiian Pineapple Company on the islands. This multi-national is now the internationally known giant, the Dole Food Company.

You’ll probably buy some of their foods each week. Now you know how Dole foods got started in business. As a result of an unprovoked American military coup in a far off pacific nation.

After the Amercian coup succeeded, coup leader Sanford Dole was named President of the new Republic of Hawaii, great for the new American businesses on the islands.

Despite the unprecedented and prolonged nature of the illegal occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom by the United States, the Hawaiian State, under international law, is still afforded all the protection that that international law provides.

The ongoing American occupation of Hawaii does not affect the continuity of the State of Hawaii, even where there isn’t any (Hawaiian) government claiming to represent the occupied State.

One humourous observer wryly – but technically correctly – noted that Donald Trump was indeed correct. Barak Obama was NOT a legally elected President of the United States as he was not born in America but in the occupied kingdom of Hawaii. Being a foreigner disqualifies you to run for President of the USA.

Out of the three “contested” lands mentioned in the beginning of this post – Tibet, Crimea and Hawaii – Hawaii is easily the least justified land grab and easily the most contested. Both Crimea (part of Russia) and Tibet (part of China) are not really contestable at all. Hawaii is completely contestible. But you never see “Free Hawaii” on a car bumper sticker do you? Why not?

Because modern western propaganda – invented by Americans – is simply too powerful, too pervasive, too skillful and its invisible.
